We describe the creation and implementation of a new undergraduate course focused on Tackling Wicked Global Problems. In this semester-long offering, teams of second-year business school students map the connections among systems of actors as these relate to a specific social problem; analyze stakeholder viewpoints and interests; collect primary and secondary data exploring the issue (both locally and in a more global sense); and propose specific initiatives designed to tackle key aspects of the challenge. This article elaborates upon the experiential project and its constituent activities undertaken in the classroom. We also reflect on insights gained from the several iterations of the course implemented to this point and provide guidance for educators interested in pursuing a similar pedagogical innovation in their institutions.
