What Arbiter searches — and what it doesn't.
As of September 2026, Arbiter's corpus contains 4,116,676 works across ranked business-journal sources, with abstract coverage at 56% across the full corpus. The numbers below update daily.
Works indexed, by list.
Each row reports works currently indexed from that ranking list. Abstract coverage is list-level because journals overlap across lists and lower tiers can share the same source constraints.
Abstract coverage uses the same live list-level fields as the methodology page. FT50 also has per-journal detail.
What isn't here — and why it matters.
Arbiter's corpus is weighted toward English-language research in North American and European journals. Working papers, conference proceedings, book chapters, and SSRN preprints are not included. Some ABDC and AJG journals at lower tiers are indexed but have limited abstract coverage — search results in those tiers may be sparse.
The corpus does not index every paper in every ranked journal — coverage depends on what publishers and open-access repositories have made available. Arbiter uses OpenAlex as its primary source, supplemented by direct publisher feeds for the FT50 tier.
If a paper you expect to find isn't here, it is either outside the ranked-journal scope or not yet available from open-access sources. For full systematic coverage, use your university library database.

Coverage tells you which papers are in Arbiter. Methodology tells you how Arbiter decides which ones to surface — journal tier weighting, citation momentum, and how the evidence score is composed.
