Abstract The US plan to impose reciprocal tariffs is a game changer. If you ask The Economist , Trump's tariffs ‘really mean chaos for global trade’. If managed well, the opposite could be true: it could be the largest round of trade negotiations since the creation of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and a much-needed rebalancing of global trade relations to catch up with fundamental changes that occurred, but remained unaddressed, for close to a quarter century.
