What the paper says
We are happy to present this special issue of InPractice centered around "Artificial Intelligence in Work and Organizational Psychology".This special issue brings together a timely and varied set of contributions exploring the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Work and Organizational Psychology (WOP).Across empirical studies, practice spotlights, tools pieces and interviews, a clear pattern emerges: AI brings with it both promise and complexity. The articles collectively show that AI is reshaping how work is organized, how people are managed, and how decisions are made.Yet while the potential for greater efficiency, personalization, and innovation is clear, so too are the risks, namely, opaque algorithms, biased automation, and organizational practices that move faster than our capacity to reflect on their impact. What's needed now is not just more technology, but better thinking about how technology and human systems co-evolve.
