This essay collection provides an interdisciplinary discussion between organization theory (OT) and information systems (IS) on digital responsibility. Digital responsibility refers to the design, development, adoption, use, and decommissioning of digital technology in accordance with ethical principles regarding these technologies’ social, ecological, and economic impact. The included essays provide interdisciplinary views on theory, method , and impact of digital responsibility. The collection’s aim is to facilitate and deepen the exchange between the fields of OT and IS and to stimulate interdisciplinary research on digital responsibility.
