Climate change is a pressing issue that has negative impacts on various aspects of our planet. Carbon neutrality is a critical concept in addressing climate change and promoting sustainable development worldwide. Based on the recognition of the importance of the NGFS in supporting central banks to transition to carbon neutrality, the study examined four factors associated with the commitment of central banks to the NGFS using FsQCA software-3.0. The study also provided a comprehensive overview and step-by-step learning guide for FSQCA. Secondary data was collected from 47 Central Banks, comprising 20 pledged and 27 non-pledged banks, across the largest continent, Asia. The findings indicated that the commitment of central banks to the NGFS was primarily driven by core conditions, namely higher income groups and high effective governance scores and peripheral conditions, small population size and high emissions of GHG gases. However, no necessary condition was identified in the analysis.
