What the paper says

The impact of climate change on the environment has caused a global shift in attention towards sustainable technology. This essay seeks to investigate the elements that influence the consumers' desire to utilise sustainable information technology (IT) for sustainable packaging, and the resulting impact on the actual usage of sustainable information technology for sustainable packaging. The data were collected using survey questionnaires administered to Indian people. A total of 466 valid questionnaires were received and analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). There is a positive correlation discovered between intention to use and actual use (AU). Subjective norms (SNR), perceived behavioural control (PBC), and openness to experience (OE), all showed favourable relationships with intention to use. Attitude (ATT), and Future effects (FC) showed unfavourable relationships with intention to use (IN). This study suggests a research paradigm for examining the individual characteristics affecting peoples' intention to use in the setting of a developing nation.
