Abstract

IT Governance systems keep today’s organizations functioning, and require a system of interacting components, including processes, information, and others. Performance management of IT Governance systems is important to maintain their effectiveness. Capability models are used to assess process performance, whereas similar mechanisms are lacking for other types of IT Governance system components. In this paper, we focus on the quality of IT Governance information, as a proxy for the performance of IT Governance information. Using a Design Science approach, we develop, and empirically evaluate the Information Quality Reference Model (IQRM) that can be used for assessing the quality of IT Governance information. The model provides a basis for building a capability model for IT Governance information.
