The aim of this study is to critically analyse and synthesise existing research on innovation culture, focusing on its characteristics, objectives, determinants, and impacts on industries. Additionally, this study aims to identify key themes and gaps in the current understanding of innovation culture, providing insights into how organisations can cultivate an environment conducive to innovation. Design/methodology/approach: This study employs a systematic literature review method following the PRISMA protocol, drawing from various articles discussing innovation culture. Various empirical studies from 94 research articles in Scopus Q1 and Q2 indexed journals, conducted from 2008 to 2022, serve as the basis for measuring the dimensions of innovation culture and its impact on various variables. Additionally, the study explores various characteristics and objectives of innovation culture by reviewing definitions previously defined by researchers. Findings: The findings of this study are presented through TCCM analysis. It includes a summary of the theories used, the characteristics of the research setting and its units of analysis, the research context summarising previous findings, the development of dimensions, the classification of definitions, and the methods employed in prior studies. Practical Implications: This study yields a better understanding of innovation culture, which will be useful for other researchers to continue existing research and to deepen the study of innovation culture where gaps still exist. This study is also beneficial for various industries to enhance innovation culture and its various impacts to increase company value. Originality/value: This study highlights the potential conceptual framework that can be applied in future research. It also identifies population and practical knowledge gaps that have not been extensively explored in previous research. This provides added value for both academics and practitioners in the industry.
