What the paper says
Recent years have seen some changes in Australian charitable giving. Drawing on findings from the Giving Australia 2005 and Giving Australia 2016 projects, this article discusses key ways monetary giving has altered. While acknowledging the difficulties of comparing the two studies, the trend of fewer people giving is clear. However, those who do give are giving more. Advancements in technology and giving methods, as well as a more deliberative approach to giving, explain why this change has occurred.
