Abstract
• Five clusters of constructs are identified as antecedents of behavior with management commitment being the most prevalent. • There are significant ambiguities in defining and operationalizing key constructs. • Nearly half of the sample does not use a specific theory. • The Theory of Planned Behavior offers a new foundation for SSCM research grounded in psychological theory.
