What the paper says

The goal of the study is to recognise and evaluate the impact of sociocultural factors on the attainment of the SDGs, as well as to determine management mechanisms that can help align countries on key sustainable development indicators. This research explores the influence of religious, linguistic, and cultural factors on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using cluster analysis methods and the Zhuravlev algorithm, key sociocultural determinants defining differences between countries have been identified. Four clusters that differ in terms of sustainable development levels and the significance of cultural, religious, and linguistic characteristics are revealed. The conducted study enabled both quantitative and qualitative assessment of the impact of sociocultural factors on the achievement of the SDGs and identified their variability depending on the level of economic development of countries. The research has potential practical applications in developing approaches to managing sociocultural factors, which would contribute to the formation and implementation of national sustainable development strategies. The findings may be valuable for developing educational, institutional, and economic concepts that consider the cultural characteristics of different countries.
