What the paper says
Cultural heritage motifs play an important role in fashion tourism on a global scale. Presently, historical eras serve as continuous sources of inspiration for fashion designers and contribute to the flourishing domain of creative tourism. The generation of authentic fashion items, rooted in cultural heritage motifs, holds the potential for sustainable economic and cultural impact within tourist destinations. These products, indirectly exported through sales to tourists, play a significant role in fostering economic growth. The Persian cultural heritage, notably rich in diverse aspects, encompasses clothing and personal adornment items that inherently form a distinct fashion genre. Persian tourist destinations are actively engaging in this economic pursuit by introducing a broader array of fashion items inspired by their cultural heritage to the tourist market. This study, substantiated by comprehensive fieldwork and supported by photographic data, delineates the intersection of cultural heritage, fashion, and tourism. It illustrates how the availability of these fashion items serves the dual purpose of showcasing Persian cultural heritage and enhancing tourist expenditure. The means of accomplishment include not only the promotion of these items through selfie tourism on social networking platforms but also their integration into offline daily life through actual wear.
