Abstract

Work from home (WFH) is a transition from the physical world to digital platforms. This transition enables employees to work remotely from anywhere. The spread of COVID-19 few years ago introduced this concept to many organisations for the first time. This transition was smooth for some employees while for many it was tough and stressful. This paper tries to explore the overall effect of WFH on employee well-being, in terms of various aspects like productivity, cost, stress, loyalty, satisfaction, etc., by drawing on a comprehensive systematic review of the literature. This paper gives a holistic overview of the literature specifically related to the effect of WFH on employee wellbeing. The SLR has been done in the paper including the PRISMA and bibliographic analysis. The paper also presents the cross-country analysis of WFH in 13 severely affected countries due to COVID-19 worldwide and TCCM framework for future research.
