Green authentic leadership a boulevard to green intellectual capital

Abstract
Purpose This study applies resource-based theory, knowledge base view and stakeholder theory to analyze the interaction between green authentic leadership and green intellectual capital. It also investigates whether green knowledge sharing mediates this relationship. Design/methodology/approach Two-wave data collection approach was utilized to collect data from Malaysian hotel industry employees. The collected data were analyzed for hypotheses testing using MPLUS software. Findings The results confirm the existence of meaningful nexus between green authentic leadership and green knowledge sharing. Furthermore, green knowledge partially mediates the nexus between green authentic leadership and green intellectual capital. Originality/value This study emphases Sustainable Development Goal 12, which has not been given much recognition in the hospitality sector. This study also explores the green authentic leadership which is unable to get the attention of researchers. The analysis considers how green authentic leadership affects employees and other stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers.
