What the paper says

This paper presents an integrated system dynamics model for project planning using simulation software, dynamic modelling. Uncertainties like strategic changes in the projects can delay and disruption at tactical level are the key challenges in successful implementation of projects. This research identifies the roadblocks that prevail in project dynamics. A system dynamics approach is used in this research and a system dynamics model is developed to capture and study the impact of uncertainties on project dynamics during implementation phase and to foresee the project feasibility through the feedback monitoring subsystem developed using technique of earned value analysis. This study supported a belief that plausible policies can mitigate the risk in delays and strategic changes in the project scope. The research proposed distinct policies to balance the uncertainties appearing in the form of strategic changes that delay and disrupt the project planning and implementation. This study shows several implications for information technology managers along with future lines for the researcher to conduct more studies from unlike perspective, worldwide.
