The higher education curriculum (HEC) requires periodic reviews for reasons such as curriculum updates or compliance with legal requirements. This revision can be a complex task, involving multiple authors with varying perspectives and producing effects for several years after the next revision. The objective of this study is to describe the process of restructuring the curriculum of a higher education course in information and communication technology. The restructuring was carried out in an environment where there were disagreements among the actors involved regarding the decisions required in the process. The strategic choice approach (SCA) problem structuring method (PSM) was adopted as a means of generating consensus among those involved. The main results indicate that the methodology helped to improve decision-makers' learning in the process and to make consensual decisions, being essential in increasing the number of graduated students.
